How to Grow - Light: Plant in full sun for optimal growth, thriving in warm, bright conditions. - Temperature: Aim for germination temperatures between 15–25°C (59–77°F) and protect from frost. - Watering: Keep the compost lightly moist during germination and water moderately once the plant is established. - Feeding: Apply a general-purpose fertiliser once established, especially for plants grown in pots. - Humidity: Normal ambient humidity is suitable; avoid excessive moisture on the leaves. Basil ‘Purple Ball’ is a half-hardy annual that is straightforward to cultivate both indoors and outdoors. Its distinctive shape makes it an excellent choice for adding foliage interest to colourful bedding displays, and its culinary versatility makes it an essential for any herb garden. Whether enjoyed fresh, dried, or preserved by freezing, Basil ‘Purple Ball’ offers both aesthetic appeal and delicious flavour in a compact form.
